A straightforward passionate prayer, a song of praise, maybe a smile… A telephone call, to ask someone for forgiveness, a mother reading bible stories to her children… These are all simple acts of goodness… with extreme consequences. How about a group of believers of Jesus Christ who meet each week for bible study and discovering what God wants for their lives?
How about the preacher who walks miles to share the message of Christ, why don’t you think of stepping out into extreme friendship and Christianity to those in need.These cases seem so average. But maybe these simple acts will have life changing ramifications.

In a world where the extreme seems to take the form of war, famine, and indifference to morals and values, it is easy to undermine the Christian’s mandate to make a difference. We live with extreme brokenness and negativity which oppose the extreme story of the son of God, Jesus Christ, who died an extreme death to reconcile people with God. As a believer you may feel overwhelmed by the reality of hardships and obstacles which tempt you to compromise your extreme faith in God’s supernatural ability to heal, to provide and to restore our human condition. Maybe your environment is an extreme reflection of poverty, loss and broken relationships which can blind you see the extreme power of God to work in any situationt? Have you lost your ability to believe?...have you abandoned your simple yet extreme faith? But hey, There’s an extreme instruction in the Bible; it simply says:
“Brothers and Sisters never become tired of doing good”

So here is my burning question… in a world with many negative extremes, are you still extreme in your faith and good works?
