Bursting Geysers & Falling Roofs Can Be Very Useful Thu Aug 19 2010 14:50:31

So, a week ago my geyser burst & I gotta tell you: It is NOT cool (in fact, it is Ice Cold)! Fortunately, the leaking / flooding was contained, causing very little damage.

This makes me think of when my wife & I were still dating, they either had a leaking or burst geyser in the house she & her friends were renting. One day I was busy in their backyard & there was this loud noise (like a bang & stuff breaking) coming from inside the house, that I have to confess had me a little bit scared of going in to check what happened. I slowly made my way inside the house (after I gathered up enough courage), where I discovered the whole bathroom ceiling lying on the floor. Literally. So the moral of the story? Never let your geyser leak or burst.

But what would happen if we were to do this deliberately – figuratively of course. If you & I were to be like high pressured geysers, filled with the joy of the Lord, we could cause some serious damage in the areas of sadness & depression. In fact, I think we would not only bring down the ceiling but we’ll bring the whole house down.

Isaiah 55: 12 - "For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
